What to Expect

Take a break from the city buzz and spend a day close to nature, discovering Poland’s most beautiful landscapes. Meet your driver and head southwards, towards the Pieniny National Park, the oldest and one of the smallest national parks in our country. It is famous for its impressive white limestone rocks which go down towards the Dunajec river. You will admire them from the best perspective — rafting downstream on a traditional wooden raft. Although the park has a relatively small area, it is home to hundreds of species of plants and several thousands of animal species, including the lynx, the otter or the black stork.

Trips on a wooden raft have been the region’s most popular  attraction for almost 200 years and today it attracts about 250 000 tourist every year. You will board a traditional wooden raft in a small village Sromowce Wyżne to start your journey through the most stunning part of the gorge which extends between Sromowce and Szczawnica. Take in the views of numerous steep white limestone slopes covered with lush vegetation and pass by key landmarks such as the Trzy Korony summit, the Sokolica summit and the medieval Red Monastery which is on the Slovak riverbank. Sometimes you can even catch a glimpse of the high peaks of the Tatra Mountains.

Once you arrive in Szczawnica, you will meet your driver and start the journey towards Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains. Enjoy picturesque drive through the montainous area and take pictures of the scenery when we stop at the viewing point.

You will have 3 hours of free time in Zakopane to explore the city, its typical wooden architecture and the local folklore it is famous for. Walk along the promenade Krupówki, shop handicrafts at a regional market and discover old wooden villas build even more than 100 years ago where you can still feel the unique charm of an old climatic health resort. Don’t forget to try delicious oscypek cheese or kwaśnica soup if you head to a regional restaurant for dinner and go to the top of Gubałówka Hill for an impressive view of the mountains.

After the day full of adventures we will return to Kraków.
